About this place
Once you have chosen a coffee, pick a cup from the selection lined up behind the counter. At DUN AROMA, choosing the vessel is part of the pleasure of a café visit.
One diner recalls enjoying a strong, flannel-filtered Golden Mandheling in a thin-walled cup that made it easier to appreciate the coffee’s character. The straight coffees include Golden Mandheling, Mocha Mattari No.9 and Brazil Kageboshi, making them appealing choices when you want to explore differences between beans. Watching the coffee being prepared is part of the experience here, too. One visitor was struck by the deft movements of the flannel-drip method and the gradual pouring of hot water over freshly ground beans. It is a place to take your time over a chosen coffee and cup.
Toast and cake make easy accompaniments. One diner enjoyed the Honey Cinnamon Toast, while on another visit a chocolate cake was shared over coffee. These are options for a small bite between sips rather than making sweets the main event. If you are not in the mood for coffee, there is pot-service tea and Royal Milk Tea. Coffee-based cocktails are also available in the evening, offering a different way to enjoy the café after dark.
The interior is centred around counter seating, and some visitors have remarked on the quiet atmosphere. The café opens in two sessions, Tuesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 18:00 and from 20:00 until 0:00 the following day. It is closed on Mondays and accepts cash only.
